MAD was born and grew up in Fribourg. She has lived in Ticino (the Italian speaking part of Switzerland) since 1964 when she married Max Läubli. For the last 30 years she has worked intensely to transform and improve her personal technique. It consists in creating handmade compositions by appliquéing and sewing together bits of cloth of every kind and colour. Lately she has been concentrating on the inexhaustible subject of angels.
